These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Hydrogen Line: the website, the game and every universe in it. We've tried to write them in plain English. Each section starts with a short version, but the full text is what counts.

If you're under 18, please read these with a parent or guardian.

Who we are

In short: Hydrogen Line is run by a small UK company.

Agreeing to these terms

In short: Creating an account means you accept these terms, the Rules and the Privacy Policy.

How we run Hydrogen Line

In short: No gambling, no tricks to make you spend, no pay-to-win, and players vote on big changes.

Who can play

In short: You must be 13 or older.

Your account

In short: One account per person, kept to yourself, with a real email address.

The game, universes and the beta

In short: The game changes over time, with players voting on the big changes. At launch the beta universe stays open, but only for players who were already there.

Player votes on updates

In short: Major updates and new content are put to a player vote before they go live. Fixes aren't.

Tokens, looks and other game items

In short: Tokens, looks and everything else in the game have no real-world money value, can't be cashed out and can't be moved to another account.

Tokens

In short: Tokens are the game's paid currency, shared by all your universes. Free beta tokens are cleared at launch; looks bought with them stay in the beta universe.

Gift crates

In short: You can buy a token crate for a friend. Friends only, with limits. Players under 18 can't send them, and get them only if they switch them on.

Packs

In short: Packs are bundles sold for a set time and never again. Their looks and badge stay yours.

The Frontier Charter

In short: Optional membership. Free during the beta; when it costs money, you'll see the price first and can cancel any time.

Paying, refunds and cancelling

In short: Payments are taken by our online reseller, Tebex, which handles VAT and receipts. Unspent tokens and accidental double purchases can be refunded within 14 days.

What you post

In short: You're responsible for what you write; we can remove anything that breaks the rules.

Staying safe, reporting and complaints

In short: Report anything harmful in the game; block players you don't want to hear from. A moderator looks at every report within 3 days.

Online safety: how we protect players

In short: Rules, filters, reports and moderators keep harmful content out. If we find any, we remove it fast.

Fair play and sanctions

In short: Break the Rules and you may be warned, suspended or banned.

Our game and artwork

In short: The game, its name, art and code belong to us.

Leaving, or us closing your account

In short: You can delete your account any time; it goes after 7 days.

Our responsibility to you

In short: We're responsible for losses we cause by breaking these terms, but not for things we couldn't foresee.

Changes to these terms

In short: If we change the terms, we'll tell you first.

The law and disputes

In short: English law applies; tell us about any problem first.
