Staying safe in Hydrogen Line
How to block, report and keep your details private, what happens when you report, and where to get help. There's a section for parents and guardians too.
Six things to know
Keep your details private
Never share your real name, address, school, phone number or photos with players you don't know in real life.
The game won't let anyone post phone numbers, email addresses, links or social media usernames.
Block anyone
Block stops a player messaging you, sending you friend requests, trade offers or invites, and hides their alliance chat from you. They aren't told.
Under 18? You choose who messages you
Friends, your alliance and players you've written to can message you. Anyone else sends a chat request: you see who it's from, and choose whether to read it.
Report it
Use Report on a message, a chat line, a profile, a planet's name or an alliance, or open Moderators in the game.
The player isn't told about your report, or who sent it.
You choose your alliance
Nobody can put you into an alliance or its chat. You join by choosing to, by applying, or by accepting an invite, and you can leave whenever you like.
Know the warning signs
If someone asks how old you are, where you live, for photos, to keep a secret, or to talk on another app, stop replying, block them and report it.
Tell a parent or an adult you trust. Nobody from Hydrogen Line will ever ask for your password.
For parents and guardians
A free space strategy game played in a web browser, for ages 13 and over. Players build planets and fleets, and can message each other, chat in alliances and trade.
Text only: there are no photos, videos, voice chat or links. Phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses and social media usernames are refused automatically.
