Two players. One game.

We met in a space strategy game in 2015. Today we're married, and we're building the game we always wanted to play: fair, and as much yours as it is ours.

A love story that started in an alliance.

In 2015 we were two players in the same alliance, in a space strategy game a lot like this one. Some knew us as Bonnie and Clyde, some as Lust and Pride.

That game gave us more than we ever expected. It gave us each other, and an alliance full of friends: people we fought beside and kept coming back for, as much as for the game itself.

Then, slowly, it fell to pay-to-win. We watched friends leave, and many quit for good. The game faded. What we found in it didn't.

In early 2024 we finally met in person. By the end of that year we were married, and in 2025 we moved across the ocean.

Gaming is a big part of who we are, and of how we got here. Games like that one will always have a place in our hearts, and co-op games most of all: the teams, the people in them, and the friends you make along the way. Hydrogen Line is our love letter to all of it, run the way we always wished ours had been.

Players make the game.

We love co-op games. Teams and people matter, and so do the players: we believe the players make the game, not the developers. So this is how we run Hydrogen Line.

You choose to pay

Hydrogen Line is free to play. Paying is always your choice, and you never have to pay to compete.

Players come first

No gambling, no tricks to make you spend, no adverts. We never sell your information.

Your game as much as ours

Every major update and all new content goes to a player vote before it goes live. If players vote against it, it doesn't go live in that form.

Better together

Alliances, Strike Groups and shared intel are at the heart of the game, because the best stories come from playing with other people.

How a vote works

  1. We describe the update in a news post.
  2. Voting stays open for at least 7 days.
  3. Every account gets one vote.
  4. We publish the result. If it's a no, the update doesn't go live in that form.
